This shoot took hours in the works. Hours not only shooting and editing, but hours of deciding what flowers to use and then one by one tying each flower onto fishing line. It was an entire day project. But, it was more than worth it. These will always be some of my very favorite photos. I am so proud of them with the amount of time and effort I had poured into these images. My lovely model and friend, Katie Haines, absolutely killed this session. Makeup artist and hairstylist combined, Allee Gushua, went above and beyond with this makeup look and holly wood curls. We collaborated with Simply Yours for this stunning dress. I could not be happier with this session and all the vendors involved!
This was my first ever styled shoot I had set up. I collaborated with Simply Yours Dress Wear and Allee Makeup by Allee Gushua. My models, Savannah and Marcus, were the perfect fit for this shoot. We shot in old building that is no longer in use in downtown Goshen. I had ideas going into the shoot, but had no idea that my favorite photo would be the one I had no intention of taking . There was a division between black and white on the tall walls. So, I put Savannah in her white dress against the black part of the wall, and Marcus in his black suit against the white. I will never get over that image. We took some confetti guns and shot them overhead Savannah and Marcus. They were so sweet and patient they let me re-take this shot several times to get different looks. The building was filled with the most natural light with the big beautiful windows. By the end of the shoot I had Savannah and Marcus lay in the confetti for an overhead shot. Little did we know, Marcus brought an engagement ring in his pocket to see if he would find the right moment to propose– how sweet?!! A few weeks later, he had proposed, and I am now photographing their wedding for June 2023! I am so honored to be photographing their now *real* wedding, and to have had them modeled for me. They are truly the most down to earth people.
